Lib Dem bill to ban conversion therapy tops Lords ballot
A Lib Dem bill to ban conversion therapy has topped the ballot for Private Member’s Bills in the House of Lords, meaning it has the potential to become law.
Liberal Democrat MP for Bath Wera Hobhouse has given a cautious welcome to the latest Conservative U-Turn over Conversion Therapy.
"A u-turn on a u-turn on a u-turn, but welcome so long as the Government doesn't change their mind again. The intolerable practice of conversion therapy must be banned and must be trans inclusive.
"No more delay - get on with it!" she tweeted today.
