Bio

Charley is an NHS emergency services worker and unpaid carer from Lambeth. They got into politics in 2004/5 after becoming Chair of Greenwich Young People's Council and finally joined the party in 2010 while studying for a degree in Human Rights Law. One thing led to another and they've now stood for Council, Parliament and were a 2021 Greater London Assembly (GLA) list candidate and the first non-binary person to run for the GLA.

Charley's background as a youth worker and teaching assistant sparked their interest in youth empowerment and education, which has been a major focus of their advocacy work. They are also dedicated to disability issues, such as inclusive green policy and transportation, as well as health and human rights.

In their free time, Charley enjoys reading, gaming, and singing. They have also made a name for themselves with their numerous accidental electoral firsts, which is a testament to their groundbreaking contributions to society. Overall, Charley is an inspiring figure who serves as a role model for all those who aspire to make a positive impact on society.
