I’m standing for Policy Officer to help bring policy into practice

The Liberal Democrats have a massive opportunity over the coming years to be the voice of LGBT+ action in the UK.

My goal as your Policy Officer will be to make sure that our democratically shaped policy is acted upon at all levels of the political process.

I believe LGBT+ LibDems needs to do more to promote and support LGBT+ Policies at all levels, within and without the party

We have many wonderful colleagues in Central Government, Devolved Administrations, HQ and Local Government who want to support LGBT+ rights in their work, but lack our expertise and overview of the subject. I see the role of Policy Officer as being to join up our expertise with the elected representatives and the staff that need our perspective to deliver for LGBT+ people.

With dangerous anti-minority rhetoric rising in the UK and abroad,
our party has to deliver real action for LGBT+ people
