The Officers and Executive of LGBT+ are responsible for the running of the organisation. Your current Exec were elected in January 2021, with the next set of elections (for the 2022 Exec) set to take place in the Autumn. The exec are usually elected in Autumn each year, and take up their duties on the 1st January for a year.

Chair: Gareth Lewis SheltonGareth is an entrepreneur working in the creative industries, and holds a MSc in Political Economy of Europe, with a special interest in welfare and business.

Vice Chair: Charley HastedCharley is an NHS emergency services worker and unpaid carer from Lambeth. They got into politics in 2004/5 after becoming Chair of Greenwich Young People's Council and finally joined the party in 2010 while studying for a degree in Human Rights Law. One thing led to another and they've now stood for Council and Parliament and are currently a 2021 GLA List candidate as the first non-binary person to run for the GLA.

Secretary: Andy HintonAndy is a bisexual man living in Wandsworth in south London. He was born in Leeds, and grew up mostly in Shrewsbury. He works in theatre sound, so is accustomed to the idea that he is doing a good job if most people don't know he's there at all.

Treasurer: Alan Collins Rosell
Alan is a bisexual man living in Gillingham. He was born in Chatham and aside from brief spells in Birmingham and Barcelona has lived in Medway for most of his life. He is currently studying for a masters in legal practice by distance learning at De Montfort University while working full time at a local firm of solicitors.

Tara CopelandTara Copeland is a bisexual Canadian, currently living in London. Born and raised in Vancouver BC she moved to Edinburgh to pursue her undergraduate degree in history. She is now studying for her masters in history at goldsmiths, university of London. She's passionate about education, heritage, immigration, and the environment.

Em DeanEm Dean is a genderqueer/intersex, bisexual person recently imported to London from Sussex. They are a longtime human rights activist, historically in migrants and refugees activism, and more recently on transgender, nonbinary, and intersex issues. Professionally, Em worked as a staff writer on immigration and politics for a regional Latin American newspaper in the Midwest US from 2007-2011, and is now an English language teacher. They are also a semi-professional cricket umpire active in various competitive leagues in Middlesex. In their spare time they are mostly found playing competitive online games, drinking tea, or photographing cats. Em joined the Lib Dems on 24 June, 2016 and has been active in a number of campaigns in London and South Central, more notably in electoral agent, compliance, and comms roles. They have been Secretary of LDEA since March 2018, and are a member of Harrow Liberal Democrats. |

Caron LindsayCaron Lindsay is a member of the Federal Board and a former Treasurer of the Scottish Party. She is the editor of Liberal Democrat Voice. A lifelong feminist, she feels that there is no conflict between transgender rights and women's rights and rejects any attempt to set them against each other. She wants to help Plus take full advantage of the changes in support for party bodies to grow our membership and profile. |

Jennie RiggJennie is a cis bisexual polyamorous woman. She is a candidate assessor for the party, co-host of Glee Club (when there isn't a pandemic on), and the former chair of this organisation. She once resigned from the party on a point of principle: the principle hasn't changed, but the make up of the party has.
