Today is the International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia and Transphobia.
Many Lib Dems have sent messages of support including tweets like these:
The #LGBTQ+ community still face discrimination right across the world. This is simply not right. As a liberal I will keep fighting passionately to ensure everyone can be free to love, without prejudice or discrimination.

Today is a great opportunity to highlight the progress made to date and shine a light on the fact that more work still needs to be done to achieve full equality.

Everyone should be free to be themselves and love without fearing any form of discrimination. #IDAHOBIT2022 pic.twitter.com/fXl6IDKwlU
Our govt is letting down the #LGBTQ+ community, they've not only failed to tackle rising hate crime but:

β’ are not fully banning conversion therapy;
β’ axed anti-LGBT bullying projects;
β’ disbanded their own LGBT advisory panel.
This isn't good enough! 2/3 #IDAHOBIT2022
Also marking IDAHOBIT as LGBT+ Lib Dems, last night we held a fascinating talk on the history of our LGBT liberation struggle with veteran campaigner Bernard Greaves talking about the battle for gay rights (as was) in the 1960s, 70s and 80s.
Thanks to everyone who attended!
