Lynne Featherstone MP writes for Pink News on changing attitudes in sport

March 15, 2011 9:24 PM

Lynne Featherstone MPLynne Featherstone, the Lib Dem MP for Hornsey & Wood Green and Minister for Equalities, has written for Pink News on the drive to tackle homophobia in sport. In the article, she outlines how challenging homophobia and transphobia in sport, much like racism, can lead to the change in societal attitude we need for true equality.

Societal change doesn't happen because a minister says it must - it happens because everyone out there works towards it.

She also discusses a visit to an LGBT youth project, Sheffield Fruitbowl, during the recent Liberal Democrat Federal Conference.
