DELGA are launching new postcards for LGBT campaigning

DELGA are proud to announce a new resource for local parties, in the form of postcards promoting the party's record and future on LGBT equality. The cards can be handed out as flyers, or left in local LGBT venues. They have a message on the back and can actually be posted to encourage people to spread the word.

The cards will be available from DELGA's stall at Federal Spring Conference in Birmingham this weekend. You can also request them from us via e-mail, and DELGA are investigating an online shop with PayPal.

The front of the card mentions three historical facts - our commitment to gay rights in 1975, our opposition to Section 28 in 1988, and our support for all trans people in the Equality Bill 2010. A photo of Lib Dem leader Nick Clegg at London Pride accompanies two quotes from him about support for same-sex marriage and opposition to homophobic bullying in schools.

The rear of the card talks about our longest and proudest record of LGBT equality, our determination to fight into the future, and our belief in fairness for all - particularly fairer taxes, fairer votes, a fairer start for children and a fair and green economy.
