Bullying report due

March 26, 2007 7:05 PM

The House of Commons education and skills committee publishes a report tomorrow about the extent of bullying in schools. The work towards the report was initiated by Lib Dem MP and committee member Stephen Williams. "I hope this investigation will make a difference to the welfare of kids up and down Britain," he told PinkNews.co.uk today. "We have looked at identity-related bullying like racial, SEN (special educational needs) and homophobic bullying."

The report is expected to criticise the reluctance of some head teachers to admit to bullying in their schools, and to highlight the rise of bullying online and via text message.
