QBoy signs as petition tops 3,700 signatures

November 26, 2006 4:49 PM

Leading openly gay rap artist QBoy is lending his support to anti-bullying week by specifically highlighting the problems of homophobic bullying. Starting off with a performance at an anti-bullying conference, QBoy has also recently interviewed out Liberal Democrat MP Stephen Williams for a Channel 4 show to be shown in February.

"I think it (homophobic bullying) deserves more attention than it currently gets both by the government and the media. It affects more people, especially younger people and children than 'they' would like to admit and the support for young LGBT teens is currently not there at school where it needs to be." he told LGBT magazine Fyne Times.

QBoy has also signed the Lib Dem online petition to help address the problems of homophobia in our schools.
