LDYS' pin badges
DELGA has welcomed the latest initiative in the campaign to stop homophobic bullying as Lib Dems have run stalls at over 100 universities and colleges across the country featuring the campaign.
Liberal Democrat Youth & Students (LDYS) have produced campaign leaflets as well as thousands of badges to distribute at freshers fairs at colleges and universities across Britain this autumn.
"As someone who came out at school at 17, I am delighted to see the Liberal Democrats leading the fight for LGBT equality," said Mark Gettleson, Chair of LDYS. "The amendment will be a crucial step towards tackling the climate of fear for so many young people."
DELGA Chair Kelvin Meyrick said, "the badges and postcards were launched at the Lib Dem conference in Brighton last week and proved a great hit. I'm sure they'll be even more popular amongst students across the country whether gay, straight or bi and will further raise awareness of the Lib Dem campaign."
