Getting the law right - have your say

May 2, 2006 8:12 AM

The consultation document - act now to get your response in on time

DELGA is encouraging all our members and supporters to contribute to a Government consultation on the details of the new law banning discrimination in provision of goods and services on grounds of sexual orientation.

While Parliament passed the new law at the end of 2005, it has not yet come into effect, as the detailed regulations are still being written. This consultation is your chance to influence those regulations - for example, on whether gay clubs should be allowed to have gay-only door policies, or the owners of guesthouses or hotels should be allowed to turn away same-sex couples.

Responses must be in by 5 June 2006.
