London MP Lynne Featherstone is the new Lib Dem spokesperson on LGBT issues

As part of today's shadow cabinet reshuffle, Lynne Featherstone MP has been appointed as the Liberal Democrats' youth and equality spokesperson. DELGA Chair Jen Yockney commented: "Jo Swinson has been brilliant in her time with the equality brief and our thanks go to her for her work over recent months. I'm sure Lynne will do us proud as well, and look forward to talking to and working with her on LGBT issues in the new year."

The reshuffle follows the election of Nick Clegg MP as Leader of the party. Chris Huhne becomes Shadow Home Secretary while Vince Cable returns to his role as Deputy Leader and Shadow Chancellor.
