Out Lib Dem MSP to tie the knot

Edinburgh West Liberal Democrat MSP Margaret Smith has announced she will register her Civil Partnership with Suzanne Main in March, three years after revealing their relationship in May 2003.

"Margaret Smith MSP and Suzanne Main are happy to announce their intention to register a civil partnership next month," a statement said. "The ceremony will take place in Edinburgh in the presence of family and friends."

Kelvin Meyrick, Chair of DELGA, responded to the news saying "I - and I am sure all of DELGA's membership - will be delighted at this news and wish them both a splendid day in May."
